Together with Marie Claire, BBC Good Food, Livingetc, Heart FM and LOVEFiLM we selected items from the worlds of fashion, food, design, music and television – all with timeless potential. Then an online public vote decided what made it into the final fifty. Some, like the little black dress, Michael Jackson’s Thriller or the Eames-style chair, were never in doubt.
